EXCLUSIVE: Tiger Woods Calling it Quits at End of ‘09

Putt.com has learned that Tiger Woods will be calling it quits at the end of the 2009 season.

While he missed playing golf during his eight month layoff recovering from knee surgery, he enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with his wife Elin, daughter Sam Alexi and newborn Charlie Axel. Being away from his family the past month Tiger realized that he missed the time away from Elin and the kids more then he missed the strenuous demands of the game.

Tiger's career PGA Tour statistics:

Events:????????????? 229
Cuts:????????????????? 213
Top 10:???????????? 152
Top 25:?????????????199
Wins:????????????????? 66
Rounds:????????????858
Avg:??????????????????69.3
Earnings:?? $82,671,870

While the story may be a April Fools joke, his career stats aren`t. Tiger has won 29% of the PGA Tour matches he has played, he has finished in the Top 10 in 66% of the 229 matches he has played and finished in the Top 25 on 87% of the matches played.

We look forward to seeing Tiger add to his career stats this year and next.
