An Eagle, Seven Birdies and a Goosen Equals Lead at Pebble Beach



An eagle, seven birdies and a Goosen equals two shot lead after two rounds at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Retief Goosen dominated the filed today shootomg 5 shots better then his his nearest competitor with an 8-under 64 on the day. To lead round one co-leader Dustin Johnson by two strokes.

Johnson had five birdies on the day, but his bogey on the par-4 17th hole cost him the opportunity to retain his first round lead.

Three of the top five golfers in the world are participating in this weekend`s event and they look more like amateurs participating in the event then the top ranked golfers in the world that they are, with all three failing two make the cut.

Padraig Harrington (#3 ranking) shot a 1-over on the day and finished with 3-over through two rounds, Harrington had four bogey`s and three birdies on the day.

Vijay Singh (#4 ranking) shot a 3-over on the day and match Harrington`s 3-over through two rounds. Singh only managed one birdy on the day while carding five bogeys.

Phil Mickelson (#5 ranking) shot a 1-under 71 on the day after shooting an even-par in Thursday`s first round, falling one shot short of making the cut.
